On Instagram, there was no option for users to edit their photo captions once they were posted, even if there was a typo. The only option that remained was to delete the image again, and repost it with the correct caption, meaning all likes and comments on the image used to get deleted as well.
But now Instagram has finally decided it’s time to let users edit their captions even after they have been posted. At the end of each post there is an Edit button to make changes.
The new updated Version 6.2.0 also has a new discovery tool in the Explorer tab and lets users edit the location of their photos.
The Explorer section has introduced a new ‘People’ tab. This means you can either browse content by Photos or find new users to follow using the People tab. The choice of users will be based on who you already follow and photos you have already liked. There is also a change in the Explorer icon where the compass has been replaced by a magnifying glass.
